Welcome to the Precious Plastic x Johannplasto Knife, where sustainability meets precision in the form of our unique Ergonomic Recycled Plastic Kitchen Knife! Crafted with the environment in mind, this knife is not just a kitchen tool; it’s a statement of conscious living.
Each knife is unique, thanks to our small-scale recycling process. By careful sorting, cleaning, and shredding plastic waste, we create knives with characteristic colour blends. Embrace the element of surprise or choose a specific colour/mix that speaks to you.
The recycled plastic (polypropylene) used in our handles comes from local sources – neighbors, friends and family, minimizing transportation emissions. The entire process has been carefully evaluated by Life Cycle Assessment expert Francesco Nenna from the GEA Factory in Italy. The result? A significant reduction in carbon footprint compared to industrially produced knives – our knife emits just 0.064kg CO2, half that of its industrial counterparts. Check out the LCA-Report here.

The high-quality stainless steel blade (Steel type: 1.4116) is expertly crafted by El.Herder from Solingen (Germany) renowned for its blade-making expertise . The sharp, serrated edge makes it perfect for effortlessly slicing through vegetables, fruits, bread, meat, and more.
During the injection molding process, the blade is seamlessly integrated with the handle, ensuring strength and safety in every use.
