🔪High-quality blade from Solingen (GER)

Welcome to the Precious Plastic x Johannplasto knife, where sustainability meets precision in the form of our unique ergonomic kitchen knife made from recycled plastic! This knife is not just a kitchen tool, but also a statement for conscious living.

Each knife is one-of-a-kind, thanks to our small-scale recycling process. Careful sorting, cleaning, and shredding of plastic waste create knives with characteristic color blends. Let yourself be surprised or choose a specific color/mix that appeals to you.

The recycled plastic (polypropylene) used for our handles comes from local sources – from neighbors, friends, and relatives, minimizing transportation emissions. The entire process was carefully evaluated by life cycle assessment expert Francesco Nenna from GEA Factory in Italy. The result? A significant reduction in CO2 footprint compared to industrially manufactured knives – our knife emits only 0.064 kg of CO2, half as much as its industrial counterparts. (See the LCA report here.)

However, sustainability doesn't mean you have to compromise on quality. The high-quality stainless steel blade (steel type: 1.4116) is manufactured by El.Herder from Solingen (Germany), renowned for their expertise in blade manufacturing. The sharp serrated edge is perfect for effortlessly cutting vegetables, fruit, bread, meat, and much more.

During the injection molding process, the blade is seamlessly integrated into the handle to ensure strength and safety with every use. Upgrade your kitchen with a knife that not only performs excellently but also contributes to a greener, more sustainable world. Choose the ergonomic kitchen knife made from recycled plastic by Johannplasto – where eco-friendliness meets artisanal precision.
